I am Najib EL MOKHTARI, a music producer from Tangier (Morocco) currently doing my engineering school internship in Sophia-Antipolis (France).
I have been messing around with computer music for the last couple of years.

I'm a fan of electronic music, but also of traditional arabic music and new age.
I have put some of my productions here and will be updating everytime I have something new to share!
I'll be very glad to get feedback and critiques so don't hesitate to drop a word :)

The site is still very minimal, but I will be making things richer as long as time allows it.

Current projects:

• Al laylu yaa laylaa (10-06-2004 mix) : dance mix of a classical arab song by wadee' assaafi. Features vocals and a balance between traditional arabic and western trance/dance music.
• Melodicus : lots of strings with digital synths. Symphonic atmosphere.

 

Old projects:

• Glassy mountain (May 2003, re-mastered version soon): trance tune meant for a competition (my first complete track)
• Simple beauty (April 2003) : Dreamy track with piano. The harmonies are simple yet beautiful.
• Summer morning (August 2002) : a track made in the summer of 2002.
• Endless (April 2002) : Melodic and repetitive track. With some recorded guitar samples.
